Le 5 juillet, Glasvegas sera aux Eurockéennes de Belfort (scène: Chapiteau) en compagnie des Ting Tings, Slipknot, Les Wampas, NTM, Peter Doherty, Kanye West, Laurent Garnier, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, etc.... Le festival a lieu du 3 au 5 juillet.

Vous pourrez retrouver le groupe au Festival de Reading (Royaume-Uni) les 28, 29, 30 août. Radiohead, Gossip, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Placebo, The Prodigy, Bloc Party, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fall Out Boy et Vampire Weekend seront également de la partie.

Premi�re partie de U2

GlasVegas assurera la première partie du concert de U2 au stade de Wembley (Angleterre) le 15 Août prochain. Ajoutez à cela les deux autres dates au Cardiff Millennium Stadium et Glasgow Hampden Park.

U2 and Kings of Leon support

After saying "that song 'It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry' is one of the best songs I've ever heard" in the NME last month, Bono and U2 have specially invited Glasvegas to support them on a number of their UK stadium shows this summer, including the following dates:

Friday 24th July - Dublin Croke Park
Tuesday 18th August - Glasgow Hampden Park
Saturday 22nd August - Cardiff Millennium Stadium

Tickets for these special support slots will be available in advance via a U2 pre-sale and general onsale dates will be confirmed here.

Glasvegas have also been announced as special guests to Kings of Leon on their June Arena tour. These dates are:

Monday 15th June - London O2 Arena (buy tickets)
Tuesday 16th June - London O2 Arena (SOLD OUT)
Monday 22nd June - Manchester Arena (buy tickets)
Tuesday 23rd June - Manchester Arena (SOLD OUT)

Oxegen 2009

Glasvegas have been confirmed to co-headline the Green Stage at this year's Oxegen Festival in Ireland on Sunday 12th July. Tickets go on-sale at 8am tomorrow morning, click here for more info. The other headline act will be Manic Street Preachers.

Christmas message

It has been one of the best and memorable years of our lives! There were many 'firsts' we encountered......first time in the charts, first time to the US, first time performing at T at the Park, first time we met Oasis. But you know when you've made it when its the first time your music is on Eastenders - that will be shortly! We've came across some incredible personalities - journalists, photographers,musicians, artists and entertainers - our world has opened enormously. But it is to our fans who have proven the most brilliant of all! Some have tattoo'd themselves with our artwork, some have sang their hearts out in their kitchens and bedrooms - putting it up on youtube, some have licked speakers at Glasvegas gigs (yes its true), others have travelled for miles and miles to come to our gigs. But who ever they all are we just want to say THANK YOU for opening your heart and letting our music become part of your lives.

As well as performing ‘Stay Another Day’ in the Live Lounge at Radio 1 on Dec 22nd, Glasvegas also headlined the ‘In New Music We Trust’ Christmas Party the same night, playing in the legendary Maida Vale studios where they performed live on air - the set list was:

Swedish award nominations

Glasvegas have received 3 nominations at the prestigious Swedish Rockbjörnen Awards. They are nominated in the Best International Act, Best International Album and Best International Song (Geraldine) categories. On top of that, the biggest rock radio station in Sweden, Bandit Rock, have nominated the band in 2 of their awards categories for Best International Album and Best International Breakthrough. Fingers crossed for a result!
