The good folk at NME have given us an allocation of tickets to the NME Awards specifically for Glasvegas fans to see the band perform live on the night. The tickets are priced at £10 and other bands playing include The Cure, Friendly Fires, Franz Ferdinand (plus more to be announced). The ceremony will take place at Brixton Academy in London on 25th Feb (doors at 6pm - you must be there by 7pm). Only 145 tickets have been put by for Glasvegas fans, so be quick to order yours from here.
I have to admit, I knew the band name, but not the music. Met James and Caroline tonight after a gig at the UEA NME and asked for an autograph for my son. No problem they said and were very pleasant people, even considering a) I didn't pay to see them and b) I knew nothing of their music and admitted it - fantastic! How many bands would do that?. On arriving home, I you tubed them immediately and found Daddy's gone. Great song!. From now on, in this household, it will not just be my son who is a fan! :-) Hope to see you guys live now and thank you from the ageing lunatic with the bunches!
