Glasvegas till Stockholm för spelning på Annexet

Glasvegas är just nu ute på en omfattande Europaturné med sitt senaste album "EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\”. Nu på torsdag, den 19/5, kommer bandet till i Sverige för en spelning på Annexet i Stockholm. Med som support är Andreas Kleerups kritikerrosade band; Me and My Army som även de är ute på turné med sitt album ”Thank God for Sending Demons”.

Detta är andra gången Glasvegas besöker Sverige i år. Senast var den 7:e mars då bandet besökte Stockholm och Kägelbanan.

I Glasvegas torneranno in Italia il prossimo 12 luglio! La band si esibirà alla seconda giornata del Flippaut Festival, intitolata Flippaut Alternative Reload, che si terrà all'Arena Concerti di Rho Fiera (Milano). Sul palco tra gli altri ci saranno anche gli headliner The Strokes.

Se vi siete persi il concerto dello scorso 15 marzo al Magnolia di Milano, questa è l'occasione per ascoltare dal vivo i brani del nuovo album EUPHORIC \\\ HEARTBREAK /// !

Esce oggi 5 aprile su etichetta Columbia Records EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\, il nuovo album dei Glasvegas.

Il disco, composto da 11 brani, è stato scritto e creato in versione demo a Santa Monica, e poi registrato a Londra con il produttore Flood: in esso, la band ripropone il suo sound atmosferico e solenne, ma si muove anche verso nuove direzioni, musicali e testuali.

La band, composta da James Allan (voce), Rab Allan (chitarra), Paul Donoghue (basso) e dalla nuova batterista Jonna Lofgren, è attualmente impegnata in un tour europeo che ha toccato l'Italia lo scorso 15 marzo.

VÖ-Feier in Glasgow

Glasvegas haben die britische VÖ von "Euphoric /// Heartbreak \\\" gestern in ihrer Heimatstadt Glasgow gefeiert – mit einem Gratis-Konzert auf den Stufen der Royal Concert Hall. Die Band performte im Regen ein halbstündiges Set. Checkt zwei Fanvids:

James verriet dem NME: "Es ist echt psychedelisch, hier zu performen. Ich sass hier immer auf den Stufen und habe eine Wurstsemmel gegessen und die Leute angeguckt. Ich träumte immer davon, hier im George Square mal zu spielen. Ich werde mich immer daran erinnern und es schätzen."

Das zweite Album erschien hierzulande erst am vergangenen Freitag, und schon spricht James in einem Interview mit dem Daily Record vom Nachfolger:

Nach einem erfolgreichen Debütalbum und zahlreichen Konzerten zogen sich Glasvegas im vergangenen Jahr nach Kalifornien zurück, um Material für das neue Album zu schreiben. Elf Songs entstanden dort für "EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\". In der Zeit verabschiedete sich allerdings die Drummerin Caroline von der Band, die heute durch die Schwedin Jonna ersetzt wird. Gemeinsam stellten die vier schon ihre neuen Songs während einer kleinen Clubtour vor. Heute erscheint nun das neue Album, das laut Frontmann James "zwei Jahre älter und stärker als das erste, wie ein großer Bruder". Er fügt hinzu: "Wenn irgendjemand Zeit mit meiner Musik verbringt, Zeit in meine Geschichten und Empfindungen investiert, dann bin ich der glücklichste Mensch auf der Welt. Aber abgesehen davon geht es nur darum, unsere Rock’n’Roll-Shows zu spielen. Überall auf der Welt."

Glasvegas publicará el próximo 5 de abril su esperado nuevo álbum EUPHORIC/// HEARTBREAK\\. Este disco se compone de 11 canciones, compuestas y maquetadas en Santa Mónica y grabadas en Londres con “Flood” como productor (U2, Depeche Mode…). En el álbum, la banda muestra su atmosférico sonido abriendo nuevas ventanas tanto en la música como en las letras.

La primera canción que se lanzó del disco fue The World Is Yours, que estuvo disponible para descarga libre y gratuita a partir 16 de enero en www.glasvegas.net y en www.facebook.com/glasvegas. Ahora presentan una nueva canción de adelanto del disco, como single “oficial”: Euphoria, Take My Hand, cuyo videoclip ya puedes ver en www.youtube.com/glasvegas

La banda formada por James Allan (voz), Rab Allan (guitarra), Paul Donoghue (bajo) y la nueva batería Jonna Lofgren realizó una breve gira por Escocia antes de anunciar nuevos conciertos para esta primavera. Entre esos conciertos confirmaron su presencia en el festival del Día de la Música, que tendrá lugar el 19 de Junio en Madrid (más info en www.diadelamusica.com)
